Advancing Light: Promoting Renewable Energy through Solar-Powered Lamps in Panadtaran, Argao

On October 18, 2025, we partnered with SK Panadtaran to launch “Advancing Light: Promoting Renewable Energy through Solar-Powered Lamps in Panadtaran, Argao”, a project designed to improve safety, foster sustainability, and encourage active community participation.

Addressing Local Needs with Sustainable Solutions

Several sitios in Barangay Panadtaran face limited lighting, making pathways unsafe and restricting evening activities. To address this, our project installed six solar-powered lamps in key areas. Solar lighting provides a renewable, low-cost, and reliable solution that enhances safety while protecting the environment. This initiative also aligns with SDG 13: Climate Action by promoting clean energy and supporting sustainable communities through collaboration and partnership.

Project Implementation

The Solar Lamp Installation Project was a collaborative effort between Dilaab Digitals’ Human Resource Department and Team Virtuoso, SK Panadtaran, barangay officials, and youth volunteers. The activity began with assembly at the Barangay Hall, followed by a brief program welcoming guests and explaining the purpose of the project. The team then installed solar lamps across the six identified sitios, ensuring proper safety measures and coordination throughout.

Key steps included:

1. Identification of six priority sitios for lamp installation.

2. Procurement of materials including lamp posts, tubes, cabella, welding rods, and solar lamps.

3. Assembly of lamp posts at the Barangay Hall with the help of volunteers and barangay partners.

4. Conduct of a short program to welcome participants and introduce the project.

5. Installation of the solar lamps in the designated sitios.

6. Closing program with feedback sharing, acknowledgments, and documentation of the event.

7. Post-installation feedback from sitio leaders and residents to evaluate immediate impact.

Empowering the Community

Beyond improving lighting, this project brought together youth volunteers, barangay officials, and community members to collaborate toward a common goal.

By actively participating in renewable energy initiatives, residents not only benefit from safer pathways but also develop a sense of shared responsibility and stewardship for sustainable practices in their community.
