At Dilaab Digitals, compassion means showing up when it matters most. It’s how we live out our values, through action.
When a 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck Bogo City, Cebu, on September 30, 2025 9:59 PM, homes crumbled and lives were disrupted in an instant. In the aftermath, one question guided us: How can we help them rise again?
That question gave a beat to Project RISE, a collective effort to extend relief, rebuild hope, and remind families that they are not alone in this journey toward recovery.
It Began with Compassion
What started as a simple call for help quickly grew into a shared movement of care.
Together with our partners, the Rotaract Club of Metro Cebu, the Rotaract Club of Metro Cebu CIT–University Chapter, and other organizations, we joined hands with the goal to bring aid and comfort to the hardest-hit areas of Medellin.
The day after the earthquake, plans were already in motion. A donation drive was launched, not just by us, but by many who wanted to help. By October 2, support kept pouring in from everywhere. Our Virtual Assistants, clients, and friends showed up in every way they could: some gave in kind, others in cash, and many offered their prayers. By October 3, volunteers were working side by side, repacking goods, securing transportation, and preparing everything we needed for the mission ahead.
On October 4, 2025, we’re immediately on the ground, our united teams personally delivered relief packs filled with food, hygiene essentials, and clean water, simple things that bring dignity and comfort in moments of loss.
We reached over 500 families and shared refreshments with more than 500 kids and adults across six affected areas in Medellin:
📍 Pinggan-pinggan, Brgy. Caputatan Norte
📍 Macarosa, Brgy. Caputatan Sur
📍 Buayahan, Brgy. Caputatan Sur
📍 Tondo, Brgy. Poblacion
📍 Brgy. Mahawak
📍 Brgy. Daanlungsod
Mothers received sanitary kits and diapers for their babies. Families whose homes were severely damaged were given waterproof tarps to rebuild temporary shelters.
And for a few precious hours, children laughed again. playing, sharing snacks, and finding joy beneath the open sky.
In every barangay we visited, we saw courage.
In every face, gratitude.
It was a quiet but powerful reminder that even after the ground shakes, the human spirit stands firm.
A Movement Fueled by Generosity
Our deepest gratitude goes out to our kindhearted sponsors: Sheryl, Rebecca, Lisa, Tunde, Lorraine, Renata, Nitya, Philicia, Natalya, Angel, Shatanese, and Alina, whose support made this mission possible.
Project RISE was never just Dilaab’s story, it became a story of us.
A movement powered by kindness, shared strength, and the belief that together, we can make a difference.
From our clients who sent support from across the globe to the local partners who helped on the ground, every act of generosity made this mission possible. Together, we turned ₱88,715.38 worth of donations into essentials that reached hundreds of families, proof that compassion multiplies when hearts unite.
We also wish to honor our partners who made this mission stronger:
🔹 IWH and IZone – 400 bottles of 500ml water + 100 relief packs
🔹 MHAM College of Medical Technology Batch Leeuwenhoek Interns – 50 packs of sanitary and hygiene kits
🔹 Supercare Laboratory Department – 50 relief packs
🔹 MJS Tourist Transport Services – 3 vans with drivers to transport goods and volunteers from Cebu City to Medellin and back
🔹 Dona Danosos – 1 sack of rice
As we look back on this effort, one truth stays with us:
when we rise together, healing finds its way,
not right away, but it always does.
To our virtual assistants, clients, partners, and volunteers, thank you for choosing to care, to give, and to rise with us, for them.
Because in moments of crisis, compassion will always be the strongest foundation we can stand on.
At Dilaab Digitals, this is who we are,
people who keep showing up,
who choose light even when it’s hard,
even when we have to step into ground zero
and feel the aftershocks ourselves.
Because whatever we felt out there is nothing compared to what they’ve lost.
And that’s exactly why we rise.
